Art As Catharsis is proud to announce ‘Feast Of Fools’, the first single from Adrift For Days new album ‘A Sleepless Grey’.
‘A Sleepless Grey’ is the follow up to 2012’s highly acclaimed ‘Come Midnight…’, and is the band’s third full length album.
Over sixty minutes, the band burrows deep into the human psyche, exploring submerged consciousness, working through trauma and searching for meaning amidst the chaos of existence.
At times the music is gentle and reflective, drifting along psychedelic tides, and exploring subtlety and space with light, textural playing. At other points the album explodes into bursts of molten fuzz, or takes a dark detour into earth-shuddering drone.
It’s a release that is difficult to classify, but plays with elements of psychedelic rock, doom, drone and post-metal – drawing from masters like Pink Floyd, Earth, Boris and Neurosis.
The album was recorded and mixed by long-time collaborator Tim Carr (We Lost The Sea, Hashshashin, Mere Women) and mastered by Mell Dettmer at Studio Soli (Sunn O))), Boris, Earth).
Over the years, Adrift For Days have played alongside Neurosis, Deafheaven, Cough, Rosetta, Acid King, Sleepmakesewaves, and many more.
‘Feast Of Fools’ is out now. ‘A Sleepless Grey’ is out 6 June 2017 via Art As Catharsis.
