Introducing ‘Only the Youngest Grave’, a double album from Melbourne experimental artist Lost Salt Blood Purges (Michael Snoxall).
Lost Salt Blood Purges explores the disparity of melody and dissonance and how they affect one another. On ‘Only the Youngest Grave’ we journey through almost two hours of varied sonic scenery, from ambient soundscapes, esoteric drones, reflective post-rock passages, and blasts of harsh noise.
This is a minimalist, ritualistic release often departs into unexpected places, and draws from influences as diverse as Kayo Dot, Bohren & der Club of Gore, Mount Eerie, Swans and Godspeed You! Black Emperor.
