Diploid have announced a tour of New Zealand and the Australian east coast in support of their new EP, “Is God Up There?”
The Melbourne-based trio have a tireless work ethic, and have staged multiple tours of Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia in recent years.
Their caustic new EP blends blackened screamo with powerviolence and post-punk in a style they dub ‘nihilistic feminism’. Their experimental approach sears the psyche with bursts of swirling blackened noise, crackling feedback, and distorted screams – calling to mind a mix of Orchid, Oathbreaker, Full Of Hell and Circle Takes The Square.
